Ok. I'm in serious trouble now. It has been way too long since my last post and that was not at all the point of adding this new technilogical medium as a showpiece to be proud of. The original idea was to display progress & motivate. Celebrate my hard work and self made sucecess as a designer, on my own, balancing part time hours working a full time job. It has since turned into another task added to my To Do List....growing by the mile. I'm full of ideas, interests, creativity, inventions and possibilties but lack the time it would take to initiate even one project. Any time available is spent organzing said To Do List into an easy to comprehend aesthetically pleasing visual. Once complete, that is ususally enough to tide me over that I forgot about the lost effort to do more. As I type I realize I may need to re-examine where I am placing this blame. It may very well be that I am missing the key component, actual oomph I need to put these things into motion. Frick...To Do: Find oomph. Before I end, what's a post without photos! Here are some belated Turkey Day celebrations: downtown Portland architecture at night and a family trip to the zoo!

Let's hear it for the boy!

Focus for the time being has been on the littlest member of our family who has wound up sick, yet again. Hoping this is teething related but in any case, I have obviously not expanded my design blog into much design-wise. Bear with me. Until then, I need to share my love & admiration for my new most favorite part of Evan, his sense of humor. It is fascinating to learn how much of his personality was pre-wired to make up this little individual. I find myself bellowing with laughter & teary eyed at least once a day. There is no way I could even come close to explaining what or how so you get the idea, sorry. It's the combination of facial expressions, body gestures and odd sound effects, all coming from someone under 3 ft. with his own opinions. That my friends, is the "priceless" at the end of my day.

Yay, new business cards!

Oh, how exciting, my new business cards have just arrived! (opening package) Nice envelope, neat box and voila! ....WTF??? Ok, I'm all about creating a first impression but this is a little more (or less) than I had in mind. Utilizing an absolutely fabulous online print resource: moo.com I decided to re-style my business cards. Keep in mind this is following an encounter where upon presenting my business card, I was questioned "Why does this look like you cut it out of paper?" Hmmm, maybe because I had....yikes. So, Instead of going with the standard BC template, I chose to be different and print the mini cards. Well they weren't lying...they're mini.

So until I re-format my order to an upgraded dimension that is suitable for viewing by all vision types, don't miss your opportunity to possess one of my mini business cards! I guess this is my way of making a very small, mini impact on the environment when it comes to my printing needs :)

A new day!

And a good day! I was a little skeptical as the election results got underway but Change prevailed! What a difference to see so many common faces on tv with looks of hope. For some reason I want to compare it to Christmas morning: I look forward to all of the new things ahead.
